Canadian Credit Cards - Three Reasons to Apply Online
Author: Stephanie Andrews
If you want to apply for a Canadian credit card, there are a number of ways to do so. The easiest, by far, however, is the online application option. If you haven't considered applying online before, now is a good time to do so. Here are three reasons to look into applying online for a Canadian credit card.
So Many Options
You'll find a wide array of credit card options available on the Internet. You can go to different sites and read through detailed descriptions of each card. When you find a card that looks like it might work out well for your situation, you can head to review sites and read even more about it. These sites give you details that you won't pick up on the advertisements that come in the mail.

The Internet is full of information on many subjects, and the ins and outs of credit cards are no exception. There you'll find what you need to know about interest rates, reward options, additional benefits, and the various fees involved. You can even find tips on how to manage a credit card well.
Anytime, Anywhere
One of the benefits of the online application is that you can fill it out at a time that's most convenient for you. Since the Internet has websites that are open literally around the clock, you'll find that you can get online and apply at any hour of the day.

Many applications list the information you'll need to include in order to apply. You can read through this and then take the time to gather the things you need. Doing so will make the application process go even faster.
You can also be anywhere when you apply. As long as you have access to the Internet, you can look through the card options available. If you're on a public computer, however, try to avoid giving out your personal information. Do so from your home PC.
Faster, all around
When you apply online, you often can know within minutes of submitting the application whether or not you have been approved. This is much faster than sending the application in through the mail system. It saves you weeks of waiting to find out where you stand.

Once you have been approved for the Canadian credit card, the actual plastic will be sent to you through the mail. When you receive it, you may have to activate it. You'll then be ready to start using the card.
Even after you have the card, you can continue to monitor your account through the Internet. Simply log in to your account and you can access your monthly statements. These will let you know how much you owe and where you stand with rewards.
Whether you want to get another Canadian credit card to add to your collection or are looking for the first time, applying online is the fastest, most convenient way to find a credit card. You'll find the information you need to make a smart decision, and you'll find out whether or not you've been approved right away. All of these make turning on the computer and getting online seem so worthwhile when it comes to Canadian credit cards.

Working holiday visa for Canadian already in Europe?
Working holiday visa for Canadian already in Europe
I’m a 27 year old Canadian traveling in Europe (non-student). I’m allowed 3 months (in every 6 month period) to remain in Europe (Schengen countries). Since I just arrived, and realized 3 months isn’t enough, I am now interested in the working holiday visa for the below listed countries. The only problem I have is: I don’t want to return to Canada to apply for these respective programs. I want to apply from here in Europe (at the nearest consulate or embassy) where I happen to be (now, Helsinki).
My question is how likely am I to be accepted since I am not in Canada and applying from within Europe. Also noteworthy, I DON’T have thousands of dollars in my bank account right now, BUT I do have access to a family credit card “number”. The card itself is back in Canada. I use this card number online, or in emergencies.
Another question I have is which country has the easiest application process or greater chance of accepting applicants. If you have applied to one of these countries as a Canadian, or other national (while already in Europe), please let me know how you proceeded. Thanks
Norway
Sweden
Denmark
Latvia
probably harder but worth a try:
Swizterland
Belgium
Holland
Italy
Spain
I came across a site that attempts to answer questions like yours. I don’t know whether it will supply you with all the answers you need, but try http://www.WhatPassport.com. It seems to be an online visa and immigration search tool designed to find immigration solutions based on a user’s personal situation
Canadian credit card approval by credit score?
At which credit score do financial institutions start approving credit card applications? If my FICO credit score is low and don’t already have a credit card who should i apply to so I don’t start taking hits on my credit? Is there any kind of guide online that shows financial institutions criteria by credit score acceptance that i can look at to see which would have the best rates and bonuses?
You probably won’t, and that’s why our banking system is in much better shape than theirs.
