I have since lost that computer and lost the email.
I called Microsoft today and they gave me the run-around and directed me to this other company who kept asking for an order number which I do not have.
I finally gave up.
This is a genuine Microsoft product. It even says that on the package that the disc is in. Ha ha. The return address is even “Microsoft Corporation / One Microsoft Way…” I have the “certificate of authenticity” attached as a sticker but there is no 25 digit product key; and I have all the instructions on what to do to get the product key.
Unfortunately, no one will help me. I have been to Microsoft’s website, called the numbers, been transferred and sat on the phone for about an hour before giving up.
I want to install this on my new computer because I see no sense in paying for it again once the trial version ends.
Can anyone help with a direct number? A direct website? Someone human who will help me and listen to my plea?

Ok, so i only get 3 installs with my purchase of microsoft office and student 2007. But, i HAVE to restore one the three on which it’s already been installed, and am in the process of buying a new computer to replace another one.
Now, the stickers and most of the info i’ve found says that i can use that product key ONLY 3 times… or on 3 computers. SO. By uninstalling the program, do i get the product key’s credit for one more (or two, in my case) install and get to use the same product key?
or do i have to buy a new one…
or should i just call msoffice people and ask them very nicely to just give me a new product key for 2 computers, since it’s gonna be 2 computers that are gonna have office uninstalled?

Unfortunately I think you might have to buy it again but if you can only install it one more time try installing it on a external hard drive so you can access it from more than one computer. If you don’t have one i recommend you buy one they are very useful. Look for good deals on NewEgg.com
