How can I find online retailers who offer free money with credit card application?
For example if you are approved for an overstock.com card they take $30 off your order.
This can be an expensive way to save money. At some point you will try and get a home loan or a car loan and they will see a mountain of credit cards and classify you in a higher risk group, which will cost you a few thousand in extra interest. Is saving $30 worth it?
Then there is the problem of having so many credit cards that you lose track of them. One late payment fee will probably be more than $30. And that’s without a past due showing up on your credit report.
16 with credit card debt?
OK- here it goes. i’m 16 years old, and i live in california. about 6 months ago an offer came in the mail for a credit card. without informing my parents, i filled out the application online just to see, not expecting to be approved because of my age, but i was approved with a $4,000 credit line.
i have a pretty good job and i figured i’d keep it to buy stuff online because my bank wouldn’t give me a visa card linked to my account, because i wasn’t 18.
well, stupidly i got out of control, and ended up spending $3,600 over a few months at the apple store.
my parents found out when he bill came, and let’s just say i had a talkin to.
anyway, i’ve been paying every 2 weeks, and my debt is down to $1,600.
i watch the people court, and isn’t a contract voidable if i’m a minor? if i contact the credit company, could i negotiate some sort of settlement due to that fact? do they do things like that?
i’m not looking for a free ride, i know i owe the money and i’ve been paying…
Strange morgage coming up on credit applications?
Ill try to explain this as uncomplicated as possible. This is the second time this has happened to me. When I applied for a Credit Card online the other day it asked a series of questions reguarding loans in my name. It had my car and my school loan on it. It showed a list of lenders besides each loan. The lenders were listed so this is my problem- Another “loan” keeps showing up on my credit apps, it says I have a morgage and then asks me who it is with and what the term is. I dont own a home. I was 18 at the time it says the loan was taken out. I have pulled a credit report and its not showing anything there. Is there someone I can contact free, like a Lawyer to tell me what this is and why it is showing up for my name
You want to pull your credit report from all three agencies – in the US, you can do that once a year for free. If this loan appears on any of the reports, contact that particular agency to dispute. Also, there should be contact information for the financial institution listed on the credit report (assuming it shows up on one of the three) for you to contact directly.
I have been asked for payment ranges on my auto loan where none of the answers were correct and the last option was “a different amount” (or something like that). Is it possible this loan question was something similar?
It is also possible that it is a different type of loan that was incorrectly reported as a “mortgage”. Maybe another student loan?
You could try to argue the point that because you were a minor…and they could come back and say that you, as a minor had tried to defraud them (by filling out the application and lying.) If you were my child , you would be working your fingers to the bone paying that back and I applaud your parents for doing exactly that.
Chalk this up to a lesson learned…
I’m looking for fun, online-based application game.?
Hi, I’m looking for a fun online-based game to spend away on some of my free time.
I don’t care if I have to pay a monthly fee, or if it asks for a credit card.
I’m into most genres… Action, Adventure, FPS, Virtual Life, MMORPG.
I want it to be launched through an application though, and not through an internet browser.
Thanks! =)
Not browser based games, just application.
EvE online is actually a pretty cool game based in space… you download the app and it costs 15 dollars a month iirc You basicly are a pilot and you have to learn new skills to get new ships, there is pvp, mining, hauling minerals, fed ex missions, hunting missions, ratting missions (ratting is basically killing enemy factions for cash and parts) Its a pretty cool game and it makes you think. Also they have new content updates quite a lot… and your skills go hand and hand with how you want to play… if you want to be an interdictor class and work in a team basically you can stop other ships from running away or you can be a pilot of a giant battleship with massive guns.
