yes if you do a joint it sure will affect both users. there are many places online to apply

    http://www.citibank.com
    http://www.householdbank.com
    http://www.capitalone.com
    http://www.orchardbank.com
    http://www.nationalcity.com

dont apply for too many at one time that will red flag your credit report and you wont be able to get credit for a while

  2. miranywho says:

Not entirely sure what that last part was about.

BUT, most credit card applications will offer a place for you to add a joint applicant (co-signer) in the normal application process.

I reccomend going through a bank, like Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase Manhattan, or you can try Discover directly. Good luck!

Whee can I apply for a joint credit card application?
Many have authorized user, will this affect both credit score users?

  4. Sand Bag says:

If you haven’t defaulted on your loans, your score should be higher than 560. You application might also have been rejected because you have too much credit. I recommend you request your free annual credit reports and see what’s on it.

  5. First Decision = Last Decision says:

On what factors they may have rejected my Citibank credit card application?
I have an account in Citibank with healthy balance and regular inflows. I have taken a few loans in recent times and did not default in payment. My credit score is around 560.

I also use my dad’s credit card (joint account) with huge credit limit and have excellent repayment history since I’ve been paying on this card for over 14 months. This would have been my own first credit card.
I’m in employment/business for last 3.5 years after completing college.

  6. Katie F says:

I wouldn’t recommend it. Have you looked at Graduate loans? generally, their interest rates are quite good. I think Natwest’s is about 6%.

Never mix money and family- that’s my rule. Also, never live in debt if you can afford it.

I know that, post uni, money can be tight- but you should try to avoid living on borrowed money.

How would you feel if your debts meant your sister lost her good credit rating?

Being in debt is a state of mind more than a necessity- I’m a third year (going into my final year) student, and so far haven’t touched my overdraft. I work during my holidays, and budget my life. It’s all about a budget, and if you’ve been living outside of your means during uni, then there’s evidence to suggest you’ll continue to do so.

  7. Clint O says:

Are there any joint credit card applications online?
We need an emergencey credit card, but I need a cosigner (which I have) , I am just having a hard time finding a credit card that does that
    Dear Robert,

You are a failure. I have never recieved quite such an aarogant and uniformed response from anyone on any subject.

I hope your business flourishes as I am SURE it will with a brain-trust like yourself at the helm.

    un-happy holidays,

    Clint

  8. maria says:

can you apply for a joint credit card?
having just finished university and having got into alot of student debt and credit card debt it has left its mark on my credit rating so i know it will be difficult for me to obtain credit
is there any way i can get a guatantor loan or is there a credit card company that allows joint applications as my sister who has excellent credit rating says she will do that but so far i can’t find any that do does anyone know of any guarantor loans /credit cards with good rates that deal in this way
    much appreciated.
i live in the uk so it would have to be uk loan companies thanks

  9. John I says:

Are credit card companies liable to set up the account according to the information on the application?
A credit card company carelessly and erroneously issued joint credit in the name of, and to an address, of 1. someone whose name, signature and SS# was not on the application, and 2. someone who did not sign the application.
Do I have any legal argument that me, the person who did sign the application, accepted/used services (dental work) under the false pretense/or with the implied understanding that the account would be set up according to the application?

  10. Nicholas Betts says:

Are you asking since the credit company put the card in the wrong name, are you liable for the charges (the dental work you had done)? You can certainly get the card changed, as is your right but if your looking for a way out of paying for your charges, well good luck with that.
